How to Prepare for Your Life Insurance Medical Exam

A medical life insurance exam is required prior to most life insurance policies being issued. This exam helps the life insurance company assess the risk it will undertake in insuring your life and what rating the insurance company will offer if a policy is issued.

The exam is conducted by a licensed medical professional who will come to you at a place and time of your convenience – for example your home or office during the week or week end. The exam is of no cost to you and it shouldn’t take more than a half hour of your time. Scheduling Tip: Try to schedule your exam in a peaceful location first thing in the morning before your have had breakfast. It can make your preparations for your exam much simpler!
Friendly Team of Licensed Medical Professionals
The exam is very similar to a check-up and will consist of:
  • Blood pressure reading
